"Lefthandedness" trivia
I'm left handed. Only one of my three children are also left handed, and one of my 9 grandchildren is too. All females.
In my family of origin, my oldest brother is left handed. The two of us were the only ones out of 7 children for mom and dad who are left handed.
Did you know that Obama and McCain are both left handed as was Bill Clinton and all but a few of our presidents over the years? Isn't that interesting? I think so.
Being left handed makes us "left brained" as well. That is the creative side of our brain. I can see that in my daughter and granddaughter. Not sure about my brother, though he is a leader and would have been more so had his health not sidetracked him.
The world forces left-handers to be ambidextrous. Think about this for a moment. As I look around the room here I see my camera. The button to take a picture is on the top on the RIGHT SIDE. The chain for my desk light, also on the right. These are just a few things. If you remember to do so, notice what side things are on as you go about your day.
It's not a big deal, but interesting to think about.
Until next time,
Mary

Being left handed makes us right brained - the creative side. Right handers are left brained - the more logical, analytical side.
Incidentally, Al Gore is left handed so if he had been elected president, there would have been 32 years of uninterrupted left handed rule at the White House!
I am left handed - I think we think very differently from right handed people. My grandmother is ambidextrous..not by choice. She was left handed and when she was in school the nuns made her write with her right hand...now she can write with both. Crazy huh!
